The Eighth World Archaeological Congress (WAC - 8) will be held in Kyoto, Japan from August 28 to September 2, 2016. The World Archaeological Congress conference is one of the premier events in global archaeology and cultural heritage conservation and protection. There will be a number of sessions at WAC - 8 focusing on archaeology and cultural heritage in Africa.
